
K-3 Reading Tutor - Caldwell l Middleton l Jerome l Wilder
Core Responsibilities:
- Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive
- Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
- Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
- Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software
- Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
- Share your experience with the community
Essential Qualifications
By the time you begin your service with Reading Corps, you should be:
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
- Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Ability to successfully complete a background check
Schedule
We are currently hiring for the 2026-27 school year. Positions run August 2026-May 2027.
- 37.5 Hours per week (less in weeks with holidays or school release days)
- Daytime hours (correspond with school start and end times)
- Monday-Friday (no weekends) - Some districts work Monday - Thursday
- Time off on holidays and school release days
Part-time positions are also available at 32, 27.5, and 15 hours a week!
