Human Services
Administration & Hospitality
- Manage emails, phone calls, mail, calendars, and reservations.
- Welcome visitors, residents, and overnight guests.
- Promote Chapter House living, provide tours, and answer inquiries.
- Assist with fundraising efforts and special events.
- Coordinate volunteer projects and activities.
- Work a regular weekday schedule, with occasional weekend coverage as needed.
Staff Leadership
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise employees.
- Maintain employee records, payroll information, and performance evaluations.
- Serve as a resource for staff and help resolve workplace concerns.
- Ensure compliance with employment policies and regulations.
Resident Support
- Welcome new residents and maintain resident records.
- Respond to resident questions, requests, and concerns.
- Support resident activities, community engagement, and transportation needs.
- Communicate with families when appropriate and assist with safety and wellness oversight.
Food Service Oversight
- Work with kitchen staff on menus, food purchasing, and meal service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Coordinate meals for guests and special events.
- Provide support and backup for kitchen operations when needed.
Property & Maintenance
- Coordinate building, equipment, and safety inspections.
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, grounds care, and vendor relationships.
- Monitor the property for safety and upkeep concerns.
- Respond to resident maintenance requests and emergency situations.
Financial Administration
- Work closely with the Treasurer on budgeting, accounting, and financial records.
- Collect rents, record transactions, process deposits and pay bills, and manage petty cash.
- Maintain donor records and support acknowledgment efforts.
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit, insurance, and financial requirements.
Board Relations
- Prepare reports for Board meetings and attend meetings as requested.
- Work closely with Trustees and committees on resident, employee, financial, and facility matters.
- Communicate significant resident, employee, and property issues to the appropriate Board representatives.
